The Threat

It looms always over me (unless I am medicated) - that ever persistent feeling of nausea.

It just won't go away on its own! And as I struggle to keep what I just ate down (especially the pepperoni hot pocket that I know will taste just horrible in a 2nd go around), I find my lips pursed and my brow wrinkled.

After sitting this way for 2 hours, I no longer wonder my cat has this sour expression when she looks at me - she just mimics my facial expressions.

And my mouth and head are starting to hurt.

Can I just go to sleep until this is over?

Pregnant?

Are you pregnant or flu like with illness?

Hmmmm?

I'm cringing from the thought of stones, atm...

But to answer EW's and WW's question -

Yes. Pregnant.

19 weeks and still morning sickness. Thankfully, medicated.

Christina,

I wondered the same thing (if you were pregnant) from something you said before. Like the crowd around Jesus and the woman who committed adultery, I have no stones to throw. I hope you feel better soon. Is the baby a boy? My friend swears that boys prolong morning sickness (something to do with the hormonal differences between the mother and a baby boy).

Actually,

It is a boy. And I thought the same thing...that the foreign hormones would mess with me in unpleasant ways.

However, there's so much out there that says girls are worse. So I was starting to doubt.

One more week of meds and I'll go for a couple days to see if the sickness has finally abated. The doctor put me on Zofran after I lost 15 lbs in a month (where I shoulda gained 15).

Christina, I must apologize. It has taken me two days to congratulate you.

Congratulations.

And no stone throwing here. I'm not one of those guys who thinks that the legalism of marriage matters much.

What matters most to me is what is in one's heart. And only you and God know that--if you are married to your beau spiritually.

Who knows? Maybe my theology is all whack. But the Baptist in me looks at the Word and weighs actions and events accordingly. And marriage has little to do with a piece of paper that Caesar issues its subjects.
